Biography – David Goode

David Goode (born 1971) is a world-renowned British organist, composer, and teacher, celebrated for his artistry, international performances, and acclaimed recordings. With a career spanning prestigious venues across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia, Goode has become recognised as one of the leading figures in contemporary organ and choral music.


Early Life and Education

Goode was educated at Eton College as a music scholar before moving on to King’s College, Cambridge as organ scholar. Under the guidance of David Sanger and Jacques van Oortmerssen, he achieved a first-class degree and an MPhil in music.

During his time at Cambridge, Goode’s exceptional talent was recognised through international awards, including prizes at the St Albans International Organ Festival and the Recital Gold Medal at the Calgary Competition.
